A time to give thanks...today and everyday

This weekend marked William's first Thanksgiving with the family. As it turned out, we celebrated with both families coming to Ottawa (except for our dear family members in the east coast). Grandmaman and grandpapa came and brought with them 2 special gifts for the kids to set the mood. These funny pumpkins were the highlight of the evening!

It was really special having both families down for dinner - a dinner fusion of asian and french canadian foods.  :0) Obviously there was a lot to be thankful for, but every year it boils down to our healthy happy (growing) family and friends.  This Thanksgiving was extra special because we got to also celebrate William's adoption being finalized. It is finally official!  Our beautiful (temperamental) son is ours forever. It's hard to believe he has been home only for 10 months.

It's been a year to be thankful for many things.  We feel very blessed.

ps.  The other thing we are very thankful for...the basement is finally done...well 95% done. Yay! Here's a peek.

The Kid's Space

Maman's space?....on the couch by the big screen TV of course!  :0P
